Water Quality Reports
The Western Virginia Water Authority is pleased to provide water quality reports to its customers. The Authority is committed to providing drinking water of the highest quality, and these reports include information about where your water comes from, what it contains and how it compares to the standards set by regulatory agencies. The Authority vigilantly safeguards the water supply and is proud to report that it is in full compliance with all monitoring and reporting requirements.

Water Quality Data frequently requested by home brewers
Last year's 2024 Water Quality Report publication for the City of Roanoke and the Counties of Roanoke, Franklin and Botetourt and the Towns of Boones Mill and Vinton is available as a pdf download. Water quality reports for prior years are available by request.
The Western Virginia Water Authority monitors unregulated contaminants, substances for which the EPA has not established drinking water standards. This monitoring helps EPA to determine where certain contaminants occur and whether they should consider regulating those contaminants in the future.
