Service Disconnection on Delinquent Accounts
All delinquent account with any portion of the balance on the account 30 days past its due date are subject to service disconnection due to non-payment.
Any returned payment against a delinquent account or a returned payment previously made to have service restored after disconnection for nonpayment will result in immediate disconnection of service.
Disconnection of service for customers with water service
Per the Authority’s Rates and Fees, a Nonpayment Processing fee will be charged to the account each time an account becomes subject for service disconnection due to non-payment of an account. If disconnected for nonpayment, all account balances must be paid in full, including the Nonpayment Processing fee(s) and outstanding deposits, for services to be restored. Full payment must be received before 2:00 pm for service to be restored the same business day. Payments received after the 2:00 pm deadline will be subject to an Additional Overtime Charge, per the Authority’s Rates and Fees, should the customer request services to be restored on the same business day.
Disconnection of service for customers with sewer-only service
A customer with sewer-only service who do not have a sewer cleanout at their property will be charged a $250 Administrative Noncompliance fee when the sewer service gets disconnected due to nonpayment. A customer whose property has a cleanout already installed, will be charged a Nonpayment Processing fee, per the Authority’s Rates and Fees, when the sewer service is disconnected due to nonpayment.
