The Western Virginia Water Authority has two executive directors who report to the Authority's Board of Directors.

Mr. McEvoy, the former director of Public Utilities for the City of Roanoke, is responsible primarily for wastewater issues. Mr. Robertson, the former director of Public Utilities for the County of Roanoke, is responsible primarily for drinking water issues.
