Carvins Cove Photo Album

This is Carvins Cove at full pond (normal water level). Carvins Cove is one of the Western Virginia Water Authority's primary water sources.

This photo, taken on July 5, 1999, shows Carvins Cove at 23.7 feet below normal. At 24 feet below normal, the Cove is half full and a 6-month supply of water remains.

This is the fishing pier at Carvins Cove during the 1999 drought. The normal water line is visible on the pier's support column.
